David Saylor, an over 40-year manufacturing veteran, founded Saylor Wheel in May 2023. David has worked for several wheel companies over the years and has placed a technical footprint on the steel wheel industry that reaches from the USA into Asia. Like many manufacturers, David spent nearly a decade in Asia during his career. With Saylor Wheel, he has on-shored wheel capacity back to the USA.

Saylor Wheel was formed through local Mississippi investment into the heavy manufacturing of steel wheels. It is located on 30 acres with a little more than 130,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space in the industrial park area of Greenwood Mississippi. Two-years were spent building the special equipment and installing it on-site and the past few months have been devoted to tooling testing and equipment ramp-up. All major steel “single” trailer wheels will be successfully tested by the end of 1st Quarter 2026

Greenwood Mississippi is the Cotton Capital and has a long and interesting history. Blues music, great food, and deep roots are found here. The city has a variety of businesses, museums and excellent restaurants.

The Director of Delta Strong, an economic development department of the 19-county Mississippi Delta Council recruited Saylor Wheel to be founded here. Most utility trailer manufacturers and the majority of steel trailer wheel demand is found between Texas and Georgia. Mississippi is clearly in the center. Greenwood is within three-hours of four steel mills and multiple steel service centers. It is a location with available labor, excellent highway access, and our excellent factory.
